Alaska / Inside Passage

Treat yourself to the adventure of a lifetime and join part or all of this special by-the-stateroom charter along the Inside Passage all the way up to Glacier Bay and Juneau. "Illuminé" will be traveling northbound from Bellingham to Alaska in May/June. Then southbound from Alaska to Bellingham in June/July. Cruise through majestic fjords and overnight in the idyllic coves of Canada and southeast Alaska. Adventure along the fabled Inside Passage at trawler speed (8 knots) but with sailboat efficiency (1.5 gallons/hour). You can choose to visit historic ports-of-call like Prince Rupert, Skagway, Sitka. Try your hand at fishing, crabbing, and catching shrimp. In Glacier Bay where ice meets sea you’ll gaze in wonder at calving glaciers. See eagles, bears, orcas, humpback whales, and myriad other wildlife all along the unspoiled shores and pristine waters that make this cruising experience truly spectacular! You’ll participate in the operation of the vessel based on your experience, skills and training while aboard. And if you’re not already “bareboat certified” by the American Sailing Association (having completed ASA 101, 103 and 104) or if you’d like advanced training (ASA 105 and 106), you can take advantage of special instructional opportunities along the way. The skipper is both a USCG Captain and an ASA Instructor!

Dates: April 30 - June 14, 2011 (Northbound) or June 15 - July 29, 2011 (Southbound).

Choose one or more weeklong increment for your cruise. Where you board and de-board your boat will depend on the dates that you choose. For the specific itinerary with fly in / fly out ports and dates, click here.
